Removing, Unlinking or Archiving Clients

Learn how to update a client’s status — whether you’re wrapping up, taking a break, or no longer working together.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

At the end of a therapeutic relationship, you may need to disconnect, archive, or permanently delete a client’s data, depending on your practice’s policies or legal requirements.

  1. Go to Clients → Select the client whose profile you want to update

  2. Click on the Setup tab (left sidebar)

  3. Scroll to the Client Status section at the bottom of the Bravely Status tab.

  4. Here, you’ll see four options:

    1. Keep linked to Bravely: Keeps the client connected to Bravely Home. This is the default setting for active clients.

    2. Unlink from Bravely: Disconnects the client from Bravely Home, but keeps their profile and records within your system.

    3. Archive client: Disconnects the client and moves their profile to your archived clients

    4. Delete client (proceed with caution!): This will completely delete your client’s profile and data. Depending on your location, we or you may be legally required to keep a record.

  5. To confirm changes, click Save.

🚨 Data deletion is permanent. Once a client is deleted, their information is fully and irreversibly removed from Bravely. Aside from legal obligations, we don’t keep a backup, so please double-check before proceeding.
