Clinic User Roles

Learn about the different user roles in Bravely Connect and how each one supports secure, efficient collaboration within your clinic.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Bravely Connect supports a range of user roles to match the different functions within a clinic or group practice. Each role has a specific level of access, ensuring team members can work effectively and securely, whether they’re therapists, administrators, or finance staff.

📌 Note: Directors and Admin Plus members can view or change user roles anytime from the Clinic Management page.

Director

(Super Admin)

Directors are account owners and hold the highest level of access. They can manage users, client records, billing, and all clinic settings.

Admin Plus

(Oversee Administrator)

Admin Plus users share most administrative privileges with the Director but aren’t account owners. They can manage most settings and users, but cannot directly work with clients or see session notes.

Admin Basic

(Basic Administrator)

Admin Basic roles are ideal for users with everyday administrative responsibilities, such as scheduling appointments, managing client information, and handling general administration. This role does not have advanced access rights, but can perform essential support tasks.

Practitioner

(Standard Therapist)

Practitioners can view and manage their own client records, schedule sessions, and add notes. They only have access to data for clients they’re directly assigned to.

Supervisor

(External Supervisor)

The Supervisor role is meant for external supervisors who supervise the clinic's practitioners. Supervisors can view the records and notes of the practitioners they supervise, but do not have direct access to clients or the ability to manage sessions independently.

Finance

(Accounting Access)

The Finance role is intended for accountants or finance personnel. This role provides access to client names and all financial transactions, allowing finance professionals to manage billing, payments, and financial records without accessing detailed client notes or session content.

Lite

(Limited Practitioner)

Lite is a simplified practitioner role, suitable for interns or observers. This role has limited permissions, primarily designed for learning or observational purposes. In future updates, Lite roles will have adjustable permissions to allow greater customisation based on specific needs.

Each role in Bravely Connect is carefully tailored to align with common responsibilities within a therapeutic practice in order to ensure both security and efficiency across all team members.
