Bravely’s scheduling system runs on Google Calendar, so to manage your appointments, you’ll need to connect your calendar first.
This guide walks you through selecting a calendar to sync with, checking for conflicts, and avoiding a few common pitfalls.
1. Connect Your Google Account
Start by connecting the Google account you want to use for scheduling.
You can connect multiple Google accounts if needed.
Make sure you’re logged into the correct account before connecting.
You can remove or reconnect accounts later from your calendar settings.
2. Select a Calendar to Sync With
This is the calendar Bravely will use to create and manage all your appointments.
Choose the one you actively use for work, not a shared team calendar or a personal one unless it’s relevant.
Bravely will create events here for every booked session.
⚠️ Changing this later can be tricky if you’ve already got upcoming appointments, so pick one you’re happy to stick with!
3. Choose Calendars to Check for Conflicts
Next, tell Bravely which calendars to check for availability.
These can be from the same account or other connected Google accounts.
Bravely will block off time automatically if you’re busy in any of these calendars.
⚠️ Tip: Avoid selecting calendars that are purely for blocking out time (e.g. an “Out of Office” calendar). Doing this will make your availability look much more limited than it really is.
Tips for a Smooth Setup
Use one main work calendar for sessions to keep things tidy.
Don’t select calendars with tentative or recurring blocks (like lunch breaks or reminders) as conflict calendars.
Office hours can be managed in Bravely, so you don’t need to worry about adding them to your Google Calendar.
You're all set! Once your calendar is connected and configured, Bravely will handle the rest — booking, syncing, and avoiding double-ups.
