Bravely Connect makes it easy to manage changes in client care — whether you’re assigning a new practitioner, coordinating between multiple staff, or setting up supervisory access.
To manage a client’s assigned staff:
Go to client's dashboard
Click the Setup tab (left sidebar)
Click on the Practitioner(s) tab (1st tab)
On this page, you can find guidance for:
Reassign the Client’s Primary Practitioner
To assign a new Primary Practitioner:
Navigate to the Practitioner(s) tab
Hover over the practitioner you want to reassign
Click Reassign
Select the new practitioner and click Confirm
The new practitioner is now set!
The previous primary practitioner has been moved to 'Additional Practitioner'. To remove them from the client's care, be sure to archive them.
📌 The Primary Practitioner controls client visibility, records, and availability for bookings.
Add Additional Practitioner
You can assign one or more Additional Practitioners to a client if other staff need to view their file or be booked internally by the clinic.
📌 Clients cannot book Additional Practitioners directly — only clinic staff can book sessions with them.
Navigate to the Practitioner(s) tab
Click the + Add Practitioner button
Add the practitioner of choice
Click Add, and this will add the new practitioner immediately.
Archive Previous Practitioner
You can archive the previous practitioner if they’re no longer actively working with the client. This keeps their session history intact while preventing new bookings.
Navigate to the Practitioner(s) tab
Hover over the practitioner you want to archive
Click Archive
Click Confirm Unassigning
Assign Supervisory Access
You can assign a practitioner as a Supervisor to another staff member to allow access to their client notes — either for ongoing clinical supervision or to support a case handover involving past records.
There are two main use cases:
Standard Supervision: Assign a supervisor to a currently active practitioner so they can review notes and session history as part of clinical oversight or mentoring.
Access to Past Notes: If a new practitioner is taking over a client, and needs to review notes written by a former practitioner, you can assign them as a Supervisor to that former staff member — even if the former practitioner is archived. This allows the new practitioner to view historical records as part of the handover process.
🔐 Supervisors can view notes and session details, but cannot edit, create new records, or book sessions.
To assign a supervisor:
Navigate to the Practitioner(s) tab
Hover over the practitioner you want to assign a supervisor to
Click Add Supervisor
Select a supervisor and click Add
Example: Dave Peters’s Case Handover
Let’s say Dave Peters has transitioned between several practitioners. Here’s how that could look in Bravely:
Carol Lee is the new Primary Practitioner, responsible for ongoing care.
Jake G is an Additional Practitioner, continuing some occasional sessions.
Carol Lee is also assigned as a Supervisor to Jake G, so she can review Jake's notes.
Rackley N is a Supervisor for both Carol Lee and Jake G — he can view all notes, but not book sessions.
Bo Romir is an Archived Practitioner who previously worked with Dave. He can no longer book sessions. Only Carol Lee (assigned as Bo Romir's Supervisor) can view his notes.
Once updates are made, ensure all involved staff are informed of their new roles and access levels. This helps maintain clarity and collaboration, especially during transitions.
This flexible structure supports seamless case handovers, collaborative care, and privacy — all while keeping client records accessible only to those who need them.
