Who can I accept payments from?

You can accept payments from any client, whether they’re in Singapore or overseas*. BravelyPay supports a wide range of local and international payment methods, so your clients can pay you using what works best for them, including credit cards, PayNow, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and more.

* BravelyPay can only accept payments from countries available with Stripe (more info) and HitPay.

What are the requirements to use BravelyPay?

BravelyPay is available to practitioners and businesses offering mental health, wellbeing, or therapeutic services. However, it’s not currently available for psychiatrists or any providers who prescribe or dispense medication, due to regulatory limitations.

At this stage, BravelyPay is available to Bravely Connect users in Singapore. Support for other countries is on the way.

What currencies can I accept?

BravelyPay supports payments in multiple currencies — here’s how it works:

  • SGD payments (via card or PayNow) will be paid out to your Singapore bank account.

  • USD payouts are available if you link a US bank account in your HitPay settings.

  • Other currencies will be automatically converted to SGD or USD before payout. A 2% currency conversion fee applies unless you’ve added a USD account.

🇺🇸 To link a USD account: Go to HitPay Dashboard → Settings → Bank Accounts and add your US account details.

What fees apply when using BravelyPay?

There are no setup fees and no payout fees when using BravelyPay.

Transaction fees vary depending on the payment method (e.g. credit card, PayNow, international payments) and the need for currency conversion. These are set by our payment providers and are automatically deducted before funds are paid out.

For the most up-to-date fee breakdown, please refer to our BravelyPay Fees page.

BravelyPay's rates are based on rates by our payment providers and are subject to change — we’ll always keep you informed.

How do payouts work, and when will I get paid?

Once your HitPay account is fully set up and your bank account is connected, payouts are typically processed as early as the next business day.

Who are HitPay and Stripe?

BravelyPay is powered by trusted third-party payment providers who ensure your transactions are secure, compliant, and processed efficiently:

  • HitPay is our local payment provider, based in Singapore and regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) under a full Major Payment Institution (MPI) license. They handle bank transfers, PayNow transactions, and ensure all local compliance requirements are met.

  • Stripe powers the credit card infrastructure within HitPay. Trusted by millions of businesses globally — including Amazon, Shopify, and Zoom — Stripe is widely regarded as the industry leader in secure online payments.

What is KYC, and why is HitPay asking for personal info?

As part of setting up BravelyPay with our payment providers, you’ll be asked to complete a quick KYC (Know Your Customer) check. This step takes place after you begin setup and before you can receive payouts.

KYC is a standard verification process required so payment providers can verify the identity of individuals or businesses receiving funds.

All licensed payment processors — including HitPay and Stripe — are legally required to comply with KYC regulations. These rules are set by financial authorities like the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to prevent fraud, money laundering, terrorism financing, and other illicit financial activities.

Completing your KYC is a one-time step that helps:

  • Verify your identity and link payments to a legitimate business or individual

  • Protect your account from misuse or identity theft

  • Ensure smooth payouts without delays or holds on funds

Once your KYC is approved, you won’t need to do it again unless your business details change.

✅ If you’re in Singapore, the fastest way to complete your KYC is by verifying through SingPass.
