BravelyPay allows your clients to securely save their card details, making future payments seamless and hassle-free. To enable this, you’ll need to generate an initial invoice and have the client opt in to saving their card when they pay.
👋🏼 Before you begin, make sure your HitPay account is registered and connected to BravelyPay. For more info, go to Set up BravelyPay with HitPay
Step 1: Generate the Initial Invoice
Go to the Payments page (top nav bar)
Create a new invoice and add a billable item. The amount doesn’t matter — you can use a $1 test charge or a full session fee.
Step 2: Enable only Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay
In the next step, enable Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay. To keep it simple for the client, set this as the only payment method for this invoice. Clients must pay with a card for the card to be saved.
💡 This change only applies to this invoice — it won’t affect future invoices or your default settings.
Step 3: Send Invoice & Prompt Client
⚠️ To save a card, the client must agree to future payments when they pay this first invoice.
After clicking Create & open invoice, the invoice will be ready for the client to pay via Bravely Home.
We recommend sending a quick message to remind them to tick the “Save my card…” option when paying, or use one of the templates below to guide them.
Once they’ve completed payment, the card is saved and ready to be charged automatically for future invoices. For instructions on how to charge a saved card, read Charge Saved Cards.
