Sessions and appointments are two separate but connected parts of Bravely. Appointments handle scheduling. Sessions hold your clinical records. Bravely keeps them in sync automatically—so when a client cancels, reschedules, or misses a session, your session plans move with them. No manual updates needed.
What’s the Difference?
Here’s how sessions and appointments work together behind the scenes:
Appointments are the actual time slots booked in your calendar — when a session is scheduled to happen. Appointment fields include:
Date and time
Duration
Appointment status
Sessions are the clinical records attached to those appointments, where you write notes, track attendance, and more. Session details include:
Session type
Session notes
Attendance status
Smart Session + Appointment Sync
If an appointment is cancelled, rescheduled, or marked as a no-show, Bravely automatically moves your session plan to the new appointment — no extra clicks needed.
How It Works
When you attach a session plan to an appointment, Bravely keeps them in sync automatically.
If the appointment is cancelled, rescheduled, or marked as a no-show, the session plan will be attached to the next upcoming appointment or remain available for the next appointment booking.
When the next appointment is booked, it will automatically be attached to the earliest open session.
This helps ensure your planning stays intact, without needing manual updates, meaning:
You only ever need to write your plan once.
Nothing gets lost when clients cancel or reschedule.
You always know which session notes match which appointment.
This automatic syncing helps you stay organised and focused on your clients, without needing to worry about tracking changes or redoing your plans.
